When valgrinding my application the output becomes very big, hundreds of unintialized values. I understand it's harmless, but will make valgrind reports clearer.

The link to the external patch seems to be dead, if you want this fix in tree then please do reopen this bug & attach an updated patch. Since there is no patch, nothing to be done here, closing this bug.
